CPSC Product Registry filing, verified before it costs you a customs hold.
Amazon FBA, Shein, Temu, and TikTok Shop sellers of CPSC-regulated goods now face mandatory eFiling — every regulated shipment, including de minimis. EntryProof's free checker flags the gaps in your filing readiness in under a minute.
A held container typically costs $500-5,000 per day of dwell time at port (industry-observed range, not an EntryProof guarantee — we help you prepare your filing data, we don’t promise CBP or CPSC outcomes).

See a hypothetical walkthrough: how a filing gap compounds
A hypothetical walkthrough, not a real customer story
This is an illustrative scenario we built to show how a gap compounds, not a report from a real EntryProof customer. EntryProof launched with the CPSC eFiling mandate on Jul 8, 2026 and does not yet have paying customers with a filing history to report on.
Here's how a gap like this typically plays out for an SMB seller:
- A seller assumes their marketplace's document upload (Amazon Seller Central, TikTok Shop's portal) satisfies the federal CPSC eFiling requirement -- it doesn't; the two are separate systems.
- A shipment without an eFiled certificate gets flagged at CBP entry and held pending documentation -- dwell-time costs on a held container commonly run in the hundreds to low thousands of dollars per day industry-wide.
- If the pattern repeats across multiple shipments before it's caught, CPSC can also pursue civil penalties for non-compliant imports -- amounts vary widely by case and company size, and can reach well into five or six figures for repeated or willful violations.
A hypothetical brand catching this gap early -- before a second or third shipment repeats the mistake -- is a straightforward way to avoid a scenario in that range (illustratively, on the order of $12,000 in combined dwell-time and penalty exposure for a small-catalog seller). That's the specific thing EntryProof's free readiness checker is built to flag before it happens, not after.

Reference PGA filing is mandatory for regulated shipments — manual entry, CSV upload, or API. No broker license required, but no help classifying your SKUs either. (source: GDLSK legal memo)
Platform doc portals
Amazon, TikTok Shop, Shein, and Temu each run their own compliance-doc intake. TikTok Shop alone added CPC/lab-report requirements Jun 19, 2026 — a second regime for the same SKU.
Enforcement is live
Section 15 penalties run up to $120,000 per knowing violation, $17.15M for a related series. A 2026 CPSC settlement confirmed active enforcement. eFiling itself is codified at 16 CFR Part 1110 (source: ecfr.gov).
Questions sellers ask first
I already use a customs broker who handles eFiling — why do I need EntryProof?
Your broker files what you give them. EntryProof is the data-preparation and readiness layer BEFORE your broker touches it, and it flags gaps your broker won't catch until filing day.
Is this customs advice?
No. EntryProof is a readiness-assessment and data-preparation tool — not a customs broker, not a testing lab, not a legal-advice service. You and your customs broker or test lab make the compliance call.
Does EntryProof file for me?
No. EntryProof prepares your filing data and readiness estimate. Submission to the CPSC Product Registry and transmission through ACE remains with you or your customs broker.
What products does this cover?
Anything that may need a Children's Product Certificate (CPC) or General Certificate of Conformity (GCC) — toys, kids' apparel, small electronics, and dozens of other CPSC-regulated categories.
What happens if I miss a CPSC filing deadline?
Section 15 of the Consumer Product Safety Act allows civil penalties up to $120,000 per knowing violation and up to $17.15M for a related series of violations (current caps set by Federal Register notice 2021-26082, 86 FR 68244, effective Jan 1 2022 under 15 U.S.C. § 2069(a)(3); next statutory adjustment due Dec 1 2026) — a 2026 CPSC settlement confirmed active enforcement of the eFiling rule specifically. Beyond the statutory penalty, a missed or incomplete filing typically means your container gets held at port (industry-observed $500-5,000 per day of dwell time) while you scramble to correct it. EntryProof does not represent you before CPSC or CBP and cannot guarantee any outcome — this is general information, not legal advice; talk to a customs or products-liability attorney about your specific exposure.
Do you integrate with my customs broker's software?
Not yet. Today, EntryProof gives you (or your broker) a readiness estimate and gap list you copy into whatever system your broker already files through — no API connection required to get value. Direct integrations with broker platforms and the CPSC Product Registry's bulk-upload/API path are on our roadmap once we validate demand; if you use a specific broker or filing platform, email us and we'll prioritize accordingly.
How is this different from Descartes / IHS Markit?
Descartes and IHS Markit (S&P Global) sell enterprise-grade trade-compliance and customs-filing platforms built for large importers with dedicated trade-compliance teams and broker-integration budgets — typically five- or six-figure annual contracts. EntryProof is a free, self-serve readiness check built for small and mid-size cross-border sellers (Amazon FBA, Shopify, TikTok Shop, Shein, Temu) who don't have a trade-compliance department and just need to know their gaps before their broker files. We're not a replacement for an enterprise TMS — we're the lightweight first pass most of our users have never had.
What data do you retain about my products?
From the free checker: your store URL and HTS code, plus a one-way hashed (SHA-256) copy of your IP for abuse prevention — we never store your raw IP. Readiness-scan data is retained 30 days, then deleted. If you request the full report, we also keep your email address until you unsubscribe or request deletion. We never sell your data. You can self-serve delete everything tied to your email any time via our privacy policy's deletion link — no account or login required.
