TikTok Shop added its own CPC/lab-report document intake for regulated sellers -- a second, platform-specific paperwork job on top of the CPSC Product Registry, running in parallel with (not instead of) the federal eFiling requirement below.

CPSC eFiling becomes mandatory (16 CFR Part 1110)

Electronic filing of compliance certification data at time of entry through CBP’s Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) is now required for CPSC-regulated consumer products. De minimis shipments are NOT exempt. Importers must give brokers certificate data before entry to avoid clearance delays.

Comment deadline: lithium-ion battery safety standard for micromobility products

CPSC’s Jun 24, 2026 Notice of Proposed Rulemaking would set the first mandatory federal battery-safety standard for e-bikes, e-scooters, hoverboards, electric skateboards/unicycles, replacement battery packs, aftermarket chargers, and e-bike conversion kits (including rental-fleet units). Written comments are due by this date -- not yet a final rule.

CPSC eFiling mandatory for Foreign-Trade-Zone (FTZ) entries

Products/substances entered from an FTZ for consumption or warehousing get a later compliance date than the general Jul 8, 2026 rule -- same 16 CFR Part 1110 eFiling requirement, six months further out for this specific entry type.
