Short version: Meta Events Manager is Meta's own free diagnostics dashboard for the Pixel and Conversions API — event volume, Event Match Quality (EMQ), Test Events, and deduplication. It is authoritative on Meta's side of the wire and free forever. It is also a place you have to remember to visit. PixelProof is a detect/monitor that watches whether the Meta Pixel, GTM, and GA4 tags you already have still look present on the public storefront: Monitor-Only $29/mo · Starter $99/mo · Agency $149/mo. PixelProof does not replace Events Manager, does not show EMQ, and does not run Test Events. Honest PixelProof stack: Monitor-Only $29/mo · Starter $99/mo · Agency $149/mo.
Disclosure: PixelProof is our product. Meta does not charge separately for Events Manager and publishes no price for it, so there is no Meta sticker on this page to date-stamp. Everything we say Events Manager does cites Meta's own Business Help Centre, checked September 15, 2026. Meta, Facebook, and Events Manager are trademarks of their owners, used here in nominative fair use. Support: support@pixeluptime.com.
Meta Events Manager is the console at business.facebook.com/events_manager2/ where a Meta advertiser inspects the events Meta received from its Pixel and CAPI, checks EMQ scores, runs Test Events, verifies deduplication between browser and server, and manages data source connections. Meta documents that scope itself, in its Event Match Quality and Test Events help articles, both checked September 15, 2026. That is a dashboard you pull, not a storefront detect/monitor.
Meta documents Events Manager as a diagnostics surface for the data Meta received: event volume, Event Match Quality, Test Events, deduplication. We are not going to characterise what Meta has decided not to build, or why. What we can say is what PixelProof does that is a different job: a recurring presence check against the public storefront HTML a shopper sees, and an email when those findings change. If Events Manager covers that for you, you do not need us.

There is no Meta sticker in the grid above because Meta does not publish one for Events Manager. We do not date-stamp a competitor receipt we cannot reproduce. PixelProof prices are the live Monitor-Only $29/mo · Starter $99/mo · Agency $149/mo stack from PRICING_TIERS. Monitor-Only is on that grid.
For a merchant who genuinely opens Events Manager on a schedule, who runs a Test Events probe after a Shopify app install or theme change, and who is comfortable reading EMQ and dedup from the Overview tab without an external watch, Events Manager is doing the job by definition. It is the ground truth on Meta's side of the wire, it is free, and it is already installed. Any comparison against a paid tool has to survive that fact. PixelProof is not a better Events Manager.
For a merchant who does not, in practice, log in to Events Manager on a schedule — which is most merchants who are not paid to babysit tracking full-time — a storefront loader that stops looking present is invisible until they look. PixelProof turns that pull-based inspection into a recurring public-HTML watch. It does not layer on Shopify-orders-vs-Meta-events reconciliation (we do not see either side's order truth). Monitor-Only at $29/mo is that watch: recurring storefront scans and email break alerts. Paste-ready fix snippets are Starter+ ($99/mo and $149/mo) for detectable storefront findings — not bundled into Monitor-Only, and not a substitute for Events Manager, EMQ, or Test Events. If the question is "is my existing tracking still looking present on the storefront," not "what did Meta receive and what is my EMQ," the narrower tool is the right one.
How the scan works — public HTML only, no checkout X-ray, no Ads Manager login — lives on the methodology page. Limits, trial, and refunds are on the FAQ.
Shopify's developer changelog documents the Aug 26, 2026 checkout upgrade that strips Additional Scripts and legacy checkout.liquid tracking from every non-Plus store automatically. Events Manager will accurately show fewer Purchase events arriving after that date if they stop arriving; it will not, per Meta's public product surface, email a merchant that the drop coincides with the deprecation cutover. PixelProof does not X-ray checkout, Additional Scripts, or checkout.liquid — those surfaces are labeled as not observable on the scan. What it can do is keep watching the storefront-visible loaders that remain on public HTML, reading against the Web Pixels API docs and Meta's Pixel documentation. That is detect/monitor after the cutover, not a claim we flag every deprecated checkout pattern before it happens.
This is a hypothetical scenario, not a real customer case. Imagine a merchant installs a new Shopify review app on a Wednesday. The app's injected script changes how the homepage loads, and the Meta Pixel loader stops looking present on the public HTML. Events Manager would eventually show a drop in received events — but only after the merchant opens it. A Monitor-Only $29/mo watch layered on the storefront would have flagged a loader/signature change the same cycle. That is not a claim we saw Purchase volume drop, ingested Events Manager, confirmed EMQ, or recovered ROAS. If you also want paste-ready guidance for a detectable storefront finding, that is Starter or Agency — not Monitor-Only, and not Events Manager's Test Events desk.
Events Manager is a first-party surface owned by Meta — the company whose ads product is downstream of the events it records. That is not a critique of Meta's engineering; it is a description of who runs the dashboard. An independent storefront detect/monitor with no ad-attribution product to sell is a different kind of check: we report whether public loaders still look present, not whether Meta should credit a conversion. PixelProof does not grade Events Manager's homework and does not produce a competing EMQ or ROAS number.
Events Manager is free; PixelProof's whole bill is Monitor-Only $29/mo · Starter $99/mo · Agency $149/mo. A merchant comparing a free Meta dashboard to a storefront monitor without noticing that one product shows received events and the other watches storefront loaders is comparing two different kinds of numbers. Monitor-Only does not include the snippet library. Annual billing is 25% off (Monitor-Only $261/yr, Starter $891/yr, Agency $1341/yr). Live Stripe checkout is on /meta-monitor/pricing, including a Monitor-Only deep link at /meta-monitor/pricing?checkout=monitor_only&utm_source=site&utm_medium=shared&utm_campaign=pp_monitor&utm_content=monitor_checkout_shared.
The free storefront scan is a soft paywall, not a brick wall. This browser gets 3 free scans, plus 2 more if you leave an email, then a ~24-hour cooldown. When the budget is used we ask you to start Monitor-Only or come back later. We do not hard-lock the product, invent remaining seats, or call the next scan "premium locked." If localStorage is missing (private mode), the gate fails open so you can still scan. The standalone free-scan page also uses a short-lived session cookie (one scan per hour) as a separate abuse control — still not a paywall brick. Checkout attaches a 7-day trial on paid plans, including Monitor-Only. Cancel before day 8 and you should not be charged — see Account → Subscription.
PixelProof is a compliance monitoring service, not a certification or legal advice service. Monitoring cannot guarantee 100% detection of every pixel breakage or Meta API deprecation. Merchants remain responsible for their own tracking compliance.
Meta Events Manager is Meta's own diagnostics dashboard for the Meta Pixel and Conversions API (CAPI). It shows event volume by type, deduplication status between browser and server events, Event Match Quality (EMQ) scores, a Test Events tool, and integration status for connected data sources. It is Meta's ground-truth view of what its systems received. It is available to every Meta advertiser and Meta does not sell it as a separate SKU. That product description is drawn from Meta's own Business Help Centre articles on Events Manager, Event Match Quality and the Test Events tool, checked September 15, 2026.
The two answer different questions. Events Manager answers "what did Meta receive last time you opened the dashboard" — event volume, EMQ, Test Events, dedup. You have to remember to visit. PixelProof answers a narrower, earlier question: "do the Meta Pixel, GTM, and GA4 loaders still look present on the public storefront HTML." That is detect/monitor, not a claim we see Meta's received events, EMQ scores, or Shopify order-level truth. Monitor-Only at $29/mo is weekly storefront watch and email break alerts. Paste-ready fix snippets ship on Starter ($99/mo) and Agency ($149/mo) for detectable storefront findings — not on Monitor-Only, and not as an Events Manager feature.
Events Manager surfaces some warnings inline (setup issues, low EMQ, missing parameters) that a merchant sees when they open the interface. What it does not do, on Meta's public product surface, is email you when a storefront-visible loader stops looking present after a theme, consent, or app change. PixelProof does not ingest Events Manager, does not watch EMQ drift, and does not run Test Events for you. It watches public HTML on a recurring schedule and emails when those storefront findings change.
No. PixelProof does not replace Events Manager. It is not Meta's dashboard, not EMQ, and not Test Events. Any serious merchant should keep Events Manager open when actively debugging a pixel or CAPI issue. PixelProof does not cite a specific Events Manager view as proof, does not log into Ads Manager, and does not confirm that Purchase events fired. The tools are complementary: Events Manager is the investigation surface inside Meta; PixelProof is a storefront detect/monitor that watches whether the public loaders still look present.
A recurring presence check on the public HTML of the URL you watch — Meta Pixel / GTM / GA4 loader signatures — plus email when those findings change. Events Manager sees what Meta received (volume, EMQ, Test Events, dedup) and cannot see storefront HTML you never sent it. PixelProof cannot see Events Manager, cannot compute Meta-reported purchases vs Shopify orders, and cannot X-ray checkout. Detect and monitor on public HTML; not Meta's scorecard.
No. Monitor-Only ($29/mo or $261/yr) has no fix snippets and no PDF reports — weekly storefront watch and email break alerts only. Paste-ready snippets for detectable storefront findings ship on Starter ($99/mo, 3 stores) and Agency ($149/mo, 15 stores). You or your developer paste and verify. Snippets are not a concrete fix path we run on your theme, not a magic auto-install, and not coverage for checkout surfaces the storefront scan cannot see. Monitor-Only is not a fix-pack.
Yes, they are complementary rather than competing. Events Manager remains the place you inspect EMQ, run Test Events, and confirm what Meta received. A Monitor-Only watch on the public HTML is a cheap hedge on the storefront input layer — especially around Shopify's Aug 26, 2026 checkout upgrade — not a substitute for the dashboard, not a guaranteed ROAS recovery, and not a claim we see Meta's event stream or Shopify order-level truth.
No. PixelProof uses a soft paywall: this browser gets a small number of free scans (3, plus 2 more if you leave an email), then a nudge toward Monitor-Only at $29/mo. After about 24 hours the free budget can reset. If localStorage is unavailable (private mode, blocked storage), the gate fails open — we do not brick the scanner. The /meta-monitor/free-scan landing also rate-limits to one scan per hour per session cookie. None of that is fake scarcity, a remaining-seat countdown, or a “locked premium” wall.
