Triple Whale sits at the analytics-and-attribution layer of the tracking stack. That layer assumes raw event data is already flowing into it from Shopify, from the ad platforms, and from whatever tracking the storefront has installed, and it stitches that data together into reporting and an attribution view on top. What an analytics layer does not do is verify that the browser-side Meta Pixel, Google Tag Manager container, and GA4 tags on your storefront still look present on the public HTML. PixelProof is that detect/monitor job — not a DTC analytics platform. For the specifics of what is in each Triple Whale plan, read their own site; we do not restate their feature list for them.
Triple Whale does not publish dollar pricing. On triplewhale.com/pricing, checked September 14, 2026, the plans are Free, Foundation, Automate and Enterprise, and pricing is based on annual GMV. There are no public dollar figures on that page, so there is no sticker for us to compare against and we do not print one. An earlier version of this page cited a "$129-$299/month" range and tier names that do not appear there; that was wrong and it is removed. Prices change without notice — check the vendor link before you buy. If a specific price matters to your decision, ask Triple Whale directly.
PixelProof is not framed as a $99-only or two-tier product. Live prices sit on /meta-monitor/pricing: the honest stack Monitor-Only $29/mo · Starter $99/mo · Agency $149/mo, matching Stripe checkout. Monitor-Only at $29/mo is weekly watch and email break alerts. Paste-ready snippets are Starter+.

A Shopify DTC brand running paid social across several platforms and struggling to answer the question "which channel actually deserves credit for last month's revenue" has a real problem that an analytics and attribution platform is shaped to solve. If you need that, a storefront detect/monitor at Monitor-Only $29/mo · Starter $99/mo · Agency $149/mo does not replace any of it and would not even try to. Triple Whale lists a Free plan on its pricing page, so evaluating it costs nothing but time.
A second case where Triple Whale is the right call: a store already committed to some analytics platform is evaluating whether switching is worth the migration cost. That is an analytics-platform-vs-analytics-platform comparison, and again, a monitor is not the substitute for it.
If the question is "is the Meta Pixel and CAPI-related storefront loader my downstream stack depends on still looking present," PixelProof is the right layer and Triple Whale is not a substitute. This is especially true around Shopify's Aug 26, 2026 checkout upgrade, which strips Additional Scripts and legacy checkout.liquid tracking from every non-Plus store automatically. A brand paying for any analytics layer on top of a missing storefront pixel is paying for analytics on an input layer nothing is watching. Monitor-Only at $29/mo is that watch: recurring storefront scans and email break alerts. Paste-ready fix snippets are Starter+ ($99/mo and $149/mo) for detectable storefront findings — not bundled into Monitor-Only, and not a substitute for Triple Whale's analytics stack. If the question is "is my existing tracking still looking present," not "which channel deserves credit," the cheaper, narrower tool is the right one.
How the scan works — public HTML only, no checkout X-ray, no Ads Manager login — lives on the methodology page. Limits, trial, and refunds are on the FAQ.
The most honest recommendation for a mid-market Shopify brand running paid social seriously is: run both. The two products cover complementary layers of the tracking stack, not overlapping ones. An analytics and attribution layer interprets the event data that arrives; PixelProof watches whether the browser-side pixel still looks present, which is the layer the Aug 26, 2026 Shopify checkout upgrade can silently change for any store that was still relying on Additional Scripts on a non-Plus plan. Meta's Events Manager expects both server and browser streams to arrive and be deduplicated on event_id, so a stack that only ships server events without a healthy-looking browser pixel underneath can produce the wrong shape of data for Meta's own attribution. That is still detect/monitor — not a claim we ingested anyone's data or recovered ROAS.
Any attribution model assumes the tracking feeding it fires on the pages it is supposed to fire on. If the storefront theme silently breaks a pixel after a merchant edit, the model still produces a confident, precise-looking attributed-revenue number; it just quietly drops whatever fraction of true conversions were not observed at the pixel layer, and reallocates credit accordingly. There is usually no in-product signal that this has happened.
That is not a criticism of Triple Whale or of anyone else's methodology; every attribution platform on the market shares the same dependency. It is the reason a pixel monitor and an attribution platform are two different, complementary layers of a mature Shopify tracking stack. PixelProof does not grade anyone's homework and does not produce a competing ROAS number.
Shopify's own developer changelog has documented for well over a year that the Additional Scripts field on non-Plus checkout pages is being deprecated on August 26, 2026, in favor of the Web Pixels API for tracking. Every Meta Pixel installed via Additional Scripts on a non-Plus Shopify store on that date will stop executing on checkout. Some stores installed the pixel via the official Meta & Facebook channel app and will migrate cleanly; some stores installed via an agency snippet in Additional Scripts years ago and will silently break. Any server-side pipeline in the stack will keep pushing purchase events regardless, so the number in Meta Ads Manager will look plausible; the browser-side event stream that Meta's deduplication logic needs to see, however, will simply be gone on those stores. PixelProof reads public storefront HTML against the Web Pixels API and Meta's Pixel documentation and emails when those storefront findings change. That is detect/monitor, not a claim we X-ray checkout, Additional Scripts, or anyone's server container. Monitor-Only at $29/mo is that watch. Paste-ready snippets are Starter+ — not bundled into Monitor-Only.
This is a hypothetical scenario, not a real customer case. Imagine a Shopify store spending heavily on Meta Ads and running an analytics and attribution platform on top of its data. After the Aug 26, 2026 checkout upgrade, a theme update from the store's agency inadvertently removes a Meta Pixel snippet from the product-detail page template. Server-side Purchase events keep flowing from Shopify order webhooks, so Meta Ads Manager still shows purchases and revenue. The attribution model reweights based on the mix of platform-reported and pixel-observed data it has, and the mix has silently shifted: pixel-observed conversions from the product-detail page are now zero, so the model reallocates credit toward channels whose pixel data is still coming in cleanly. The team sees the shift and treats it as a performance change. A Monitor-Only $29/mo watch layered on the storefront would have flagged a loader/signature change the same cycle. That is not a claim we saw Purchase volume drop, ingested Triple Whale's data, or recovered ROAS, and it is not a 24/7 SLA. If you also want paste-ready guidance for a detectable storefront finding, that is Starter or Agency — not Monitor-Only, and not Triple Whale's analytics desk.
Triple Whale does not publish dollar prices — its plans are Free, Foundation, Automate and Enterprise, priced on annual GMV (triplewhale.com/pricing, checked September 14, 2026). PixelProof's whole bill is Monitor-Only $29/mo · Starter $99/mo · Agency $149/mo. Because there is no published Triple Whale sticker, there is no side-by-side price comparison to make here, and we do not run save-$ theater against a number we cannot see. Monitor-Only does not include the snippet library. Annual billing is 25% off (Monitor-Only $261/yr, Starter $891/yr, Agency $1341/yr). Live Stripe checkout is on /meta-monitor/pricing, including a Monitor-Only deep link at /meta-monitor/pricing?checkout=monitor_only&utm_source=site&utm_medium=shared&utm_campaign=pp_monitor&utm_content=monitor_checkout_shared.
The free storefront scan is a soft paywall, not a brick wall. This browser gets 3 free scans, plus 2 more if you leave an email, then a ~24-hour cooldown. When the budget is used we ask you to start Monitor-Only or come back later. We do not hard-lock the product, invent remaining seats, or call the next scan "premium locked." If localStorage is missing (private mode), the gate fails open so you can still scan. The standalone free-scan page also uses a short-lived session cookie (one scan per hour) as a separate abuse control — still not a paywall brick. Checkout attaches a 7-day trial on paid plans, including Monitor-Only. Cancel before day 8 and you should not be charged — see Account → Subscription.
PixelProof is a compliance monitoring service, not a certification or legal advice service. Monitoring cannot guarantee 100% detection of every pixel breakage or Meta API deprecation. Merchants remain responsible for their own tracking compliance.
Triple Whale is a DTC ecommerce analytics and attribution platform for Shopify. For what is in each plan, read Triple Whale's own site — we do not restate their feature list here. What matters for this comparison is the category: an analytics and attribution layer that reads the event data arriving from your store, not a storefront-side check that the tracking is still present.
Triple Whale does not publish dollar pricing. On https://www.triplewhale.com/pricing, checked September 14, 2026, the plans are Free, Foundation, Automate and Enterprise, and pricing is based on annual GMV. There is no public figure to compare against, so we do not print one. Prices change without notice — check the vendor link before you buy. PixelProof is the honest stack Monitor-Only $29/mo · Starter $99/mo · Agency $149/mo — a detect/monitor on the storefront tags you already have, not Triple Whale's analytics stack.
Not really, no. Triple Whale is a marketing analytics and attribution platform. PixelProof is a detect/monitor that watches whether your storefront-side Meta Pixel, GTM container, and GA4 tag still look present on the public HTML — especially around Shopify's Aug 26, 2026 checkout upgrade. PixelProof does not replace Triple Whale. A store can use both, and often should. Monitor-Only at $29/mo is weekly watch and email break alerts. Paste-ready fix snippets ship on Starter ($99/mo) and Agency ($149/mo) for detectable storefront findings — not on Monitor-Only, and not as Triple Whale's attribution layer.
No. A server-side Conversions API pipeline forwards events from a server the browser did not have to touch, which is a real answer to browser-side signal loss. It does not verify that your storefront-side Meta Pixel still looks present on product-view, add-to-cart, initiate-checkout, and purchase pages at the browser layer — and Meta's own Events Manager expects both server events and browser events to arrive and be deduplicated on event_id. If the storefront pixel silently stops looking present after a theme update, the server side still delivers events, Meta still shows data, and you have no independent storefront-HTML check unless something is watching that layer. PixelProof does not ingest any vendor's server stream or Shopify order-level truth.
A Shopify DTC brand that needs consolidated cross-channel attribution and analytics over its store — that is the shape of problem Triple Whale is built for, and a storefront detect/monitor at Monitor-Only $29/mo · Starter $99/mo · Agency $149/mo does not replace any of it. If you are picking between "buy an analytics platform to get everything" and "buy PixelProof to check one thing," and you actually need everything, Triple Whale is the honest recommendation.
A Shopify store owner whose Meta ROAS looks off, who is not sure if the pixel is even looking present after a recent theme change or checkout upgrade, and who does not want to buy a full analytics platform to answer that one question — that is the shape of problem PixelProof is built for. Honest stack Monitor-Only $29/mo · Starter $99/mo · Agency $149/mo. Monitor-Only at $29/mo is watch-and-alert only. Paste-ready snippets are Starter+ — not bundled into Monitor-Only. It is also the narrower answer for an agency running 3-15 Shopify client stores that needs weekly automated storefront-presence checks across all of them.
No. Monitor-Only ($29/mo or $261/yr) has no fix snippets and no PDF reports — weekly storefront watch and email break alerts only. Paste-ready snippets for detectable storefront findings ship on Starter ($99/mo, 3 stores) and Agency ($149/mo, 15 stores). You or your developer paste and verify. Snippets are not a concrete fix path we run on your theme, not a magic auto-install, and not coverage for checkout surfaces the storefront scan cannot see. Monitor-Only is not a fix-pack.
Yes, and many mid-market Shopify brands do. Triple Whale sits at the analytics and attribution layer; PixelProof sits below it, watching whether the raw browser-side loaders feeding that layer still look present on the public storefront. That is detect and monitor, not a claim we saw Purchase volume drop, ingested Triple Whale's data, or recovered ROAS. A Monitor-Only watch is a cheap hedge on the storefront input layer — not a substitute for Triple Whale, not a guaranteed ROAS recovery, and not a 24/7 SLA.
No. PixelProof uses a soft paywall: this browser gets a small number of free scans (3, plus 2 more if you leave an email), then a nudge toward Monitor-Only at $29/mo. After about 24 hours the free budget can reset. If localStorage is unavailable (private mode, blocked storage), the gate fails open — we do not brick the scanner. The /meta-monitor/free-scan landing also rate-limits to one scan per hour per session cookie. None of that is fake scarcity, a remaining-seat countdown, or a “locked premium” wall.
