Storefront scanners (including PixelProof's free scan) can't see what's behind your Shopify admin login. This is the other way to check — no extension, no password shared.
1. Open your Shopify admin
Go to admin.shopify.com/store/<your-store>/settings/checkout — you'll need to be logged in as store owner or staff with Settings access.
2. Scroll to "Additional scripts"
On the Checkout settings page, scroll down. If you see a box titled "Additional scripts" with any code inside it, that code is removed automatically on Aug 26 for every non-Plus store.
3. Copy what you find
Copy the full contents of that box (or a screenshot). Look for fbq(, gtag(, GTM-, or any affiliate network script tag — those are the ones that stop firing.
4. Paste it into your scan report
Run the free scanner first, then paste what you copied into the report when prompted — PixelProof will flag which pieces have known Web Pixels replacements.
5. No admin login ever reaches PixelProof
This walkthrough runs entirely in your own browser, on your own Shopify admin session. We never ask for your Shopify password or API credentials.
